bubba had good appetite this morning. Actually felt nimble enough to walk upstairs and yell at mom for another snack lol. He hasn’t done that in a while so hope it isn’t indicative of something. Maybe he’s having a silly moment. He also played around in cat nip today. Relaxed on the chair. Had two ju jube poops Lol
 
Stayed pretty steady today it seems! Nice blue this afternoon. Works been stupid busy today so forgot to remind mom to check sugars earlier this afternoon.

Yes. He has been; since July? of last year. I’m not sure if it made a difference tbh. He hasn’t had it for over a month now. For Bubba the cost is $170/month bc he needs two vials worth. I don’t mind paying to ensure my baby is comfortable and pain free, but I also want to see an improvement in him… a vet said that with Solensia, a cat may not become super spry and jumping all over like before but simply more comfortable and in less pain (hence somewhat intangible effects). Since Bubbas kidney values were not of concern at this time/within good range, we started back on Metacam on a lower dose just this morning. I know when his OA first flared up about almost 4 years ago, Metacam and heat therapy did the trick.
And since his DM is way better managed (compared to time of Dx), he doesn’t have as bad neuropathy effects anymore… he’s on methyl b12 5000mcg/day too. His front legs aren’t as slippy slidey and he can sit upright better (still a bit flat footed though).

My precious beast surprised me with a green tonight at +4!!! :D:eek:
He’s having a snack now at +4. Will continue to monitor
 
of course homeboy goes green / lower even after a snack at +4 / 1st green in a while ... and after the most annoying 12hr shift ever; I'm dead tired and need sleep
he's having another snack now at +5.75 - some of his usual raw, fish crunchits and some SARDINES... homie bolted out of bed upon the smell of them, haha!
 
Bubba is eating more LC food (raw + sardines) at +6.75... stinker isn't going up!
might have to give this fart some honey soon...

gave Bubba some honey (almost tsp) at +6.75 along with raw food & sardines... went up only minimally from 3.0 to 3.3; he's been pretty stable for the past 2 hours so I am going to bed. been awake for nearly 24hrs!
