4/7 Buster AMPS 236 + 5 72 +6 56 +7 55 +8 54 PMPS 106

He is bouncing from that dive to 67 a couple of nights back. Hold the dose for now. Let's see what he does after he clears the bounce. Doses with low green nadirs are held 10 cycles with TR.

Ok sounds good, I'll be able to get more mid cycle readings this weekend too! Fingers crossed :)

Try and get another test in an hour? Bounce clearing cycles can have later nadirs. Did he get food at +5?

I'm at work but my partner is home and testing - I told them to retest in an hour! We didn't deliberately feed him but I'm not sure if he's grazed since that test.

Skirting with that reduction...my partner has to leave for a bit but will retest in another hour. We've been going back and forth between 2.5 and 2.75U for over a month now!

You want to get him to eat a little after each test to keep him surfing. For cats that toggle between doses, you have the option of either trying a dose in between the two doses (which would be easier to do accurately with callipers) or you follow the rule for cats who fail reductions - you would reduce only after 3 drops between 40 and 50 on 3 separate days.

Ooh ok gotcha, I didn't know that about feeding after the test! He's at 54 at +8, so stubborn LOL and eating a bit now. Going forward I think we'll go with the 3 drops under 50. So 3 separate days means 24 hours, as in not 2 cycles in a row?

Yes, a little food after each test will keep them coasting greens. It needs to be very little. Just a tsp. You could reduce the amount of food you feed with the shot so he is hungry enough to eat after each test, if necessary.

Yes. Drops in 2 cycles in the same day (AM and PM) would count as only 1 drop.
