Have you tried these if he likes pates, the
I know that Petco sells single cans for sure , maybe PetSmart so you can try them out and see if he likes them

As for wet food for cat that are diabetic and who have kidney disease you can try these

I have tried all but the lamb and beef one. I honestly think he has a texture aversion. He will still eat maybe a teaspoon of some of his “favorite” wet low phosphorus ( weruva mid east feast) but he pretty universally hates all wet food now @Diane Tyler's Mom

also FWIW he now hates dr elseys and young again dry ( haha) :banghead:

How about this it's low carb and low phosphorus

I e mailed Tiki Cat about the Succulent Chicken
Tiki cat responded basic nutrient profile magnesium is 0.02
Dry matter is 0.08. magnesium
Phosphorus. 0.93
Carbs 0.338
It's not pate it's shreds of chicken. I just cut it up a little

Tyler was blocked once ,the mucus plug so I started him on
The Purina Pro Plan Urinary Tract Health is low carb and low phosphorus
I feed Tyler the Beef and Chicken Entree pate
Carbs are around 4.80
Phosphorus is 1.44 dry matter

They also have Chicken Entree in Gravy which isn't pate it like tiny pieces of chicken like the size of a chicklet piece of gum lol remember them, they are like tiny tiny chunks
Carbs are 4.5
Phosphorus 0.78 dry matter

So he doesn't get bored I give him some Tiki Cat Succulent Chicken in Chicken Consume , they are shreds of chicken
Carbs 0.338
Phosphorus 0.93

I put about a teaspoon full on top of the Pro Plan , I cut the chicken shreds up because Tyler likes it that way lol

The pro plan chicken looks like this small chunks

I will pick it up. I had only tried tiki cat pouches before ( which he didnt try)
 
Sometimes I see the chicken entree is in a box with other flavors I just open the box and take a few cans out, never had a problem with doing that, same with the beef and chicken flavor
I see you can even order single cans on line
Tyler just loves them
