Here is yesterday:

I got a PM +7 346 and decided that a +10 would not be as significant as getting back to sleep as I feel he's on the ascent side of SRT/IAA. And this morning suggests my intuition was right. AMPS 482.

Today will be Day 5 of his cycle (he got a PM 108 on March 25th) and so if he doesn't come day in the next couple days, I will mark the time but probably not increase as I will be decreasing his Prednisolone tomorrow morning and will be around the weekend to monitor.

Would you agree with the plan, @Wendy&Neko ?
 
I'm glad you got confirmation you can finally taper down his pred. I would stay the course to see how that impacts his numbers.

Actually, as usual, I have had no response from the radiation oncologist to my email. It's important to know that she said to cut his dose in half at the end of the month (that is, instead of 2.5mg/BiD to 2.5mg/once daily). I am taking a more conservative route to avoid a sudden drop in Prednisolone and possibly create a precarious situation re: Pred/insulin/BG ratio. Whether I hear back or not, I'm doing this:

Eddie’s Prednisolone dose from 2.5mg/BiD:

Starting tonight or tomorrow: 2.50mg AM/1.25mg PM (for 7-10 days: probably 7, so April 6th or 7th)

Then April 6th or 7th: 1.25mg/BiD (and reassess in 3-4 weeks).

The radiation oncology vet was all along concerned re: "inflammation" and thus wanted to keep the high dose until the end of the month (actually the 30th) as he's been on it for 140-some days. Given what I know about Eddie, however, a sudden decrease of Pred might not be a good idea given his already variable response to SRT. Like, look at today! He's hardly moved since AMPS.

I'm going to start with the reduction either tonight or tomorrow morning...
 
When you taper pred, you don't have to be quite so conservative. Was Eddie getting pred twice a day before it was upped post SRT? Most people just give it once a day.

Prior to SRT, Eddie was getting .625mg Pred/once daily. Regarding conservative approach: are you saying to just give it once a day but keep the dose amounts I've mentioned?
 
Yes, you could just give the total amount once per day. The only thing twice per day might do, and it's ECID, is impact both cycles the same. Otherwise numbers might be higher in the pred cycle vs. the not pred cycle.
