We're back down! I was hoping to see if Lando's hitting under 80 at his nadir before I hit the sack last night but couldn't stay up late enough lol. I'm flabbergasted by all these blue numbers! I'd normally panic shooting at 120 but now it's starting to feel normal!

I may have given him his shot too close to a muscle cause he winced a bit when I injected. No big deal, I'll just do it better this evening :) still no furshots!

Happy Saturday!

Great start! It looks like Lando dipped a paw into the lagoon last night with that 99. Glad you’ve built up some confidence in shooting :)
He's been great! I keep trying to get curves on him but literally since starting Lantus it's been a bounce or flat bounce every time lol! He's frequently dipped into the 50s and 60s so I'm hesitant to increase the dosage since he's still so bouncy. Hoping by the time I'm off work next Wednesday or Saturday I'll have an answer!

I bet he dipped below 80 last night

maybe not, it looks to me like he was flattening out at +4.5 ;). Keep in mind also that nadirs can, and do move around. One of the things that can be hard to adjust to when following the TR dosing method, especially if you started out doing SLGS is the ability with TR to increase when you have enough consecutive cycles on a particular dose to see what the dose is doing. The 58 happened 13 cycles ago, and since then occasional high greens, few and far between. I think it depends on what your goals are for Lando, but to me, I think you’ve held this dose long enough to see what is happening. Blues are nice, but greens are better, so if it were my cat, I would increase.

That's what I'm thinking as well! I just don't wanna increase when I'm not going to be off work to monitor for 10 cycles. I agree I think it's time to increase by .25, but to be safe I'm gonna wait until Wednesday when I can monitor all day :)

Sounds good! Was just giving you some goal posts ;). And who knows, maybe the threat of an increase will make Lando give you more greens :D, cats have been known to do that here on occasion.

I appreciate that!! Lando and I ain't gonna settle for less than those pretty greens!

I went ahead and gave him a tiny increase tonight! He's up to 250 for his PM shot, gonna go ahead and try a .25u increase.

Just for reference, I've been giving a "fat" 1.5 all this time, so by estimate I gave a "skinny" 2.0. (the bottom of the black line 1.5 @ the plunger is what I've been giving, now giving TOP of 2.0 line) I hope that's accurate! I've been sticking with that method and I'm using calipers now :)

I am just going to come home and check on him on my breaks the next couple days & leave food during am & pm cycles so by Wednesday I can run a curve on how he's responded!

I don't think it's a problem that you increased, but just remember increases are based on how low the dose is taking him, not the PS numbers. I think he did need the increase though. Good luck.

Of course, 100%! <3 I'm going to be extra precautious until I have him all day Wednesday and just come home on break daily and make sure to leave out food overnight. My auto feeder isn't opening properly every time so I'm gonna get a new one with more openings than 2, and I'm also about to cut his preshot meal sizes down a little (he gets 1ff pate can per meal, then one that's split into snacks throughout the day) but he's starting to get chunky, and with lower numbers and less symptoms I think it's safe to start watching his weight again :) I studied the chart today and agreed that he's starting to flatten out in the blues so I think it's time for a slight increase. I'll keep everyone updated!

2 back to back nights of green! :D
Set an alarm for +5 and +6 to check and gave a smidge of food to intervene just to be safe! He's got alarms set for food tonight in another hour as well. This made me nervous and now a lil worried to do this tomorrow while I work lol!
+5 60, +6 69
