Good morning and happy hump day!

@Bandit's Mom, Should I be considering upping the dose, or keep at 1.25 a while more? She seems to respond well to insulin but just can't keep the preshots down :oops: I am wondering if she needs a little more for an extra push? Or high preshots might be a reaction to the drop in the cycle? Or, this is just the process Mikan has to go through for her body to get used to insulin? I am all confused :confused: (bad habit of thinking too much o_O I can spin the wheel forever!)

Preshots are the last to come down. Also newly diagnosed cats will be a little bouncy till they get used to lower numbers. For that, she's doing really well. Reducing those sharp drops and not feeding carbs late in the cycle will also help. :-)

Thank you Bhooma. I gave her a bit of 7% at +1. Just tested her for +2 and it went back up to 177. Very so confusing, CATS!

All true! Every single one is so different and unpurrrdictable!!

Sly seems to be carb sensitive, except when I'm trying to get his number up. I also started noting how much time it takes him to rise with MC and HC food. For him it's about 45 to an hour, where I see other cats climb within 15 or 20 minutes. Bizarre!

I just get so happy when I see her eat well and may feed her a bit too much:oops:. I should really start paying attention to time and degree of her carb response!

That was quite a drop between +2 and +3. She is bobbing up and down quite a bit and could make anyone scratch their heads. Her onset isn't at +1 so I don't understand that dive at +1. I'm curious to see what you come home to!

I just tested her at +7 showing 175. Maybe +1 was a fluke or bad strip :confused::confused::confused: I've been scratching my head so much that all my hair might fall off :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I think I will stick with the current dose for a while more to see how it goes.
