Good morning,

Still eating good. Going to try no Ondansetron this morning. Depending how she does today, could cease it completely or maybe do once a day at night. She's really loving shredded textures with gravy. :cat:

Good morning,
I am not sure how to link my previous thread while on my phone. I can update that plus my spreadsheet when I get back; mornings are hectic over here lol.

Glad she's eating steadily. If you do stop the med and things change, don't be afraid to use it again.

Can you give the med, every other day, or every third day?

I think so. I was told it's as needed. She was on it 4 days straight for last year's flare up, so I am hoping 5 days straight this time will suffice. She had a nice poop today too. I finally stayed at work all day for the first time in a while and that was great. Felt like she'd be ok. As long as she keeps up the eating, she'll likely be due for a dose increase too in a couple days. Just hope it's all going forward from here on out and not backwards again.

Now I'm worrying lol. Do you guys think I should give it a little longer? I don't know how to tell she's ready to be without it other than the length of time she's been on it and also how well she's eating. She still chills under the couch though. Not sure if that means something is still going on or if that's her new fave hangout.

Guess I'm going to give her a pill tonight after all. I just don't trust her...

Did you give the med? Try skipping 2 days and see what happens, if her appetite wanes, give it to her. Then try skipping 3 days.

She may just need it a couple times, or once a week, like a pulse dose.

Yes I gave it to her last night. I think I'll do both times today and then call it quits to see what happens. That way it's been practically a week straight except for one missed dose yesterday morning. Should be no excuse or issue after that, and if so, then I'd say vet definitely needs to check her again. But yeah, she may end up needing an occasional dose like you said to keep her in line.

Yeah ride it out. Insulin requires food, so keeping her eating is the best track to getting her numbers regulated.

Since you did the med for a week, it could have knocked that flare up out. Also, you know the symptoms now, and have the ability to handle it. So breathe... :bighug:
