Good morning,

Doesn't look like she ate much more last night without my prodding. If her AMPS is similar to the +10, I may give a reduced dose again just as a precaution because I can't trust her to eat without me. Thinking 1.5 or 2? I'll call the vet as soon as they open this morning and that will tell us a whole lot more.

Don't jump the dose around. Shoot what you shot last night. Keep us posted on the Vet conversation. Just make sure she eats this morning :)

She just ate now a bit more sea captain. Just hoping she'll sustain herself til I check at lunch. The 2.5 numbers last night were nice to me, so long as she eats

She doesn't want any of the Dr. Elsey?

Can you leave a dish of wet nearby where she sleeps/hides? Some cats sleep when their people are out, mine do. Might tempt he to get up for a quick snack.

Did she poop?

yes, she pooped last night :joyful: honestly I've been scared to give her any more of the Elsey until I know more from the vet; I don't see how it could have hurt her, but it's the only thing that really changed. That's a good idea to leave a plate of food by her hiding spot.

I think sometimes timing and multiple things happening at the same time can be a factor. Try leaving a little in a bowl near her wet food. She may want some.

Ive had cats not feel well and refuse a specific item, and then when they're back to normal, will eat things they turned up their nose on already.

Give her options, she probably misses kibbles.

Yay for poops! That's a very good thing.

Quick update...vet does think it was the diet change; said okay to stop giving the Ondansetron and didn't recommend any further meds at this time, but to make sure she keeps eating. I put a plate of the sea captain pate under the couch and she ate it! Ate practically the whole can. :) Her glucose is kind of high now though, but she's out and about and acting much more herself. She greeted me when I came home for lunch, and is happily grooming herself now. Most likely will need to up her but am thinking to do the 2.5 again tonight and see how she does. Hope she continues to feel better and improve and get her appetite fully back.

I'm glad she's feeling better!

Do you think you could omit the dry completely, maybe she would eat all wet for you... Just a thought!

I'm lucky I can get her to consistently eat even one flavor, lol. I'm sure a lot of the cans and treats I recently bought to entice her will end up getting wasted unless I donate them. That's just how she is and always has been. I'm content she'll at least eat wet here and there. It's funny because it was almost like she could read minds and knew what you wrote because as soon as I read it, she instantly, all on her own, started gobbling up her dry!:p I was so surprised. It was like she was saying, "no, don't you dare take this away!" :mad:lol
After shot, she's back again under the couch, but overall I would say I've seen an improvement today. I'll push a new pate plate under there, catch up on a few Z's, and then check how the eating and glucose are going. :cat:
