3/11 Apache amps 271 ,254+2,156+6,84+8 ,102+8 .5, 90+9, 72+10,98+10.5,126,pmps173,287+2,383+6

Hi Ric I'm no expert but , I think you did the right thing feeding her a small amount, I would test again @+9 and yes following SLGS since he dropped under 90 your next dose would be 1.25 and you will stay with that dose for 7 days and do a curve ,unless he drops under 90 before that then you would decrease again by 0.25 units

102 +8 1/2. I assume I should test again to see if it's just not the food that increased reading?
You can test again in 30 minutes ,so that would be @+9
Please update your Title and SS with the number
When you enter the 102 you would put that in the 8 cell or block like this 102 +8.5 and color code it manually blue
In your title you put 102 +8.5
You can delete
hit 84 at 8 hours in your title

Pet meter take action number is 68 meaning you would feed either med or hc food depending on where he is during the cycle
I copied the following from one of your posts ,you might want to book mark this page so you have it
One of our members told you
It's great that you're already on a low carb food. And it's good that you already have a hypo kit because it's a very low carb food.

If you're using Karo corn syrup, then one teaspoon mixed in with a can of her food will make it "mid-carb", and two teaspoons will make it "high carb". Just so you're prepared in case you run into a situation where someone suggests feeding one of those options.

I would just use honey
Here is the thread where you were given this info

I don't have high carb food. Apache has a food allergy and can only eat on e food. I've never given karo or honey which I have. I don't know if she is allergic to either so I will only use on emergency. Also I should have waited till 68 to give food?

Yes only in emergencies , I am aware of Apache's food allergy.
No you shouldn't have waited to give food ,you did the correct thing
Don't feed anymore food now and test @+9

to check what number would be too low to shoot at pmps?
The SLGS sticky says you can shoot any number over 90 HOWEVER it looks like you're new to Lantus so maybe you're not ready to shoot a number that low. I think the prudent thing to do is to get a +11ish then when you take the PS bg you'll have a better idea is Apache is rising or staying flat. That will help you decide to either shoot, stall-retest-shoot or skip.
And as always post for help. Someone is usually lurking. I know I will be :)

@Apache & Ric
Don't want to sound like a broken record
I want you to enter it this way in your title and your spreadsheet please
102 +8.5 ok
For the future
+5 means 30 minutes
+75 means 45 minutes
+25 means 15 minutes
I see you did it on your SS now fix it in your title ,yes I am a stickler :p
@Apache & Ric
I see you entered it this way on your spreadshheet 84+8.5/102 I prefer to do it this way 84/102+8.5

Ok fair enough :cat: Everything looks ok , I don't see where you lost any data
i lost a few readings, one in the +1 block at .5 when i was afraid to shoot at amps, luckly i had wrote one down for the +1. then i lost some info trying to color code the blocks. i guess these might have not been very important but what happens down the road when i blow it again.?!? i apologize im not very comp savey. i use to play PONG when i was a youngin and drive race cars since i was a teen and still do. i instruct,,,, instructors now. for me its easier to teach than learn i guess

Nothing to apologize for , I always write thing down in a notebook also.
I'm not comp savy either. So now you know how to do it next time if you are testing every 30 minutes etc and can color code it then.
Don't worry about it :cat:

Great! I wouldn't feed anymore. Lets see where she is at PMPS. And really great job Ric keeping Apache safe!
Today's cycle was a great data gathering day. You were able to keep her surfing in safe greens on just LC (low carb).
sorry couldnt get that reply to the correct ....this forum is harder than driving a race car i hope you all know !!!

i actually shouldnt have increased the dose ,,,,but thats a whole new .... oh lordy
Don't worry about it all data is good data .
You are not going to see the exact same cycles all the time , even nadirs can change
One think you should put in the remarks section on your SS is when you have fed the low carb
Example 2 tsps @+7 +8 etc so you can always look back and see what you fed at what number the BG was so if you get BG's like this again you know what you have to feed to bump her numbers up
