A much better start today, probably thanks to Chispa not eating the very low carb snack I left in the feeder (looks like the charm of Weruva Wx has worn off). She gobbled up her 10% AMPS snack and I'm about to give her something even higher at +1 to see if we can reduce the diving and bouncing. I'm actually surprised that her AMPS was this low after last night's drop of nearly 100 points to a low of 61.

Happy Thankful Thursday to all! :cat::cool::coffee:

Why not feed lower carbs at PS? Higher carbs at +1 and +2 to counter the onset of insulin is fine.
Oops -- I was thinking pre-nadir MC / post-nadir LC. I'll stick to LC except at +1 and +2. Thanks, Bhooma :bighug::cat:

ETA: I just went to give her the +2 snack and saw that she hadn't touched +1. I brought the snack over to where she was napping on her crinkly paper and held the dish while she ate it (the height of laziness!) -- so we are 2 for 2 with MC snacks this morning, just not in the preferred timing.

Another dive, sigh. Very surprised when I did the test because she usually gets meowy in the low 60s, but she napped right through from +2 to +3. I do like these greens, just wish we could be a little more on the level!
I gave her a LC snack for +3; we'll see what happens ...

ooooooof i don't miss the days of holding sir Herman's food to his face while he snacks. Chispa is a lucky kitty!

Lol ... It is so hard to find good help nowadays. :rolleyes:
But yes, it's come to that -- I opened a fresh can of Weruva, put extra gravy in the dish, topped it off with salmon powder, and held it in front of her face while she ate 2/3 of it before crawling off to sleep in her cozy carrier.

She is normally very vocal and RAVENOUS in low numbers, meowing at the top of her lungs while I serve her snack after snack until she finally decides she is full. Today she's just chilling ... she seems fine, as if she's decided she likes the low greens ... again, not sure what to make of all this.

YAY! Moved the snack to +8? Curious to see what she does when she starts lower :)
Yes, moved the snack to +8, though it was a little later than that in the pm because I lost track, but she hardly touched it anyway. She hasn’t been nearly as hungry as usual today, maybe because of the freakishly warm weather?, so that probably helped. I’m afraid to get too excited because you never know, she could bounce back to high numbers tomorrow… but still, I am hopeful. :):cat:
