Jekyll pt. 2 bun/crea 44 kidney issues?

Definitely vomiting/dehydration will elevate BUN. It actually elevates a lot of numbers (HCT, proteins, increases USG, etc.)

Do you think he's OK right now? Should I be doing something about his bun and lipase?

Only things I can think of to reduce BUN are fluids and maybe Azodyl.

It definitely can’t hurt. I have seen a reduction in BUN with it in some of my cats.

Well yes, it is a special type of probiotic that is supposed to trap nitrogen in the GI tract. It’s very interesting. Attached is the felinecrf page on the regulation of waste products. Down a ways it gets into Azodyl and Renadyl.

I tried azodyl and for us it dint do much but every cat is different......I wonder if pushing some fluids would help to clear him up?
It will help hydration for sure.

He is very well hydrated actually, his pee is almost clear and his skin test is very good too

I know it doesn’t work for everyone. I saw moderate improvement in BUN with Azodyl in two cats. It’s definitely not a magic cure, unfortunately
