If all goes well today, we're going to start 1.25u tomorrow morning.
Tessa is hiding less when test time rolls around so I think the switch to free handing lancets worked! I don't necessarily think it was about the click, I think it just hurts less for me to free hand it. I still have to poke more than once sometimes but I'm being gentle and quick so I think that helps. I got out of the bathroom this morning and Tessa was waiting on the bed which is where I've been testing her lately.
I did notice that Tessa has a little bump just below her mouth, I am pretty sure it's feline acne especially since it popped up shortly after we got her the timed feeder which has a plastic feeding dish. I ordered a new timed feeder and stainless steel inserts for it. I'm also going to gently clean the bump with pet-safe wound cleaner a couple times a day and see if it clears up. If it doesn't improve by Monday then I'll call the vet and schedule an appointment.
