Her numbers are still looking good! :)

A friend invited me and my husband to a trivia night tonight but it starts at 6:30pm and Tessa normally gets her insulin shot at 7pm so I'd either need to shoot an hour early (before I go) or well over an hour late (trivia is usually over around 8pm and then it takes 20-30 minutes to get home). I can't decide if it's worth messing with her schedule to go. I'm very hesitant to mess with her schedule now that it seems like this dose is working for her. It's not like trivia is a one time thing, they host events every week.

Shooting earlier might be better since you can get a test before bed.
You need to take time off for yourself. So don't feel bad about messing with her schedule. :bighug:

Thanks! I'll probably be leaving this decision up to the weather then lol.

If I do shoot early, do I give the full dose or skinny it up a bit? Her numbers have started to come down a bit so I'm nervous about giving the full dose an hour early and then being out of the house for nearly 3 hours.

Give the full dose. The depot will anyway affect the first part of the cycle even if you shoot a smaller dose. Also, the lower numbers are probably the Contour Next reading lower than the ReliOn :-)

Do you have a feeder or will you leave food out for her? You could always give her a little MC with her shot just to be extra safe.

Okay. :) I wasn't sure if the Contour Next was actually reading lower or if her numbers were changing. The preshots on the first day of using the Contour Next were still in the 90s so I was thinking her numbers were actually shifting lower.

Yes, I have an automatic feeder. I usually set it to give her food at +2 and +4.

Yeah, it's anyone's guess. Let's just enjoy the numbers :-)

OK. You could add a dash of MC to the food for extra safety.

Alright, I did end up going to the trivia night so she got insulin 1 hour early. We got back right around 9pm (+3) and I tested her. I'm going to leave a small snack in the automatic feeder.
