Micio still "stable" but slower and weaker everyday; appetite is good but I have to add extra flavor to make it more palatable while holding his plate next to his mouth, I bring him extra water (beside what he already drinks) and fully accompanying him anytime he goes to pee or poo...
Finally having a glimpse of sun today and he's resting peacefully on his after-lunch place, next to Missy.

QUESTION: Micio's BGs have been elevated in the last couple of days ( and, of course, I had to give him a partial fur shot when he less needed) and at this point I think Lactulose has been a culprit in his case...I took a KETONES and GLUCOSE test (I use the RelyOn keytones strip + Keto-Diastix strips together with same urine sample), Ketones still negative while, for the first time I've got TRACE on the Glucose one: HOW BAD IS IT?

I would not have increased this morning. You need to have six cycles at a dose to see how it's doing, and that fur shot reset the count. And probably contributed to his higher numbers. It can take six cycles after a fur shot to rebuild the depot. You only had 3 cycles (with 50's nadirs) followed by two cycles. More details in this post: Reminder: Counting Cycles

He was getting down to the 50's on the 9 units, that doesn't leave much room for an increase. Constipation is another reason numbers can temporarily increase. Is he getting regular BM's yet?

Tnx for the reminder, forgotten about that rule. Should I keep it at 9.25u now?
Micio goes about 1 x day but even if now the poo is softer because of the Lactulose he has a hard time pushing and after all he gets very stressed out and pant for a bit. Keep forgetting to mention that he gets pancreatic enzymes at every meal due to his EPI: always wondered if by any chance those could cause any constipation? Through time I tried to decrease the dose but immediately his poo would turn yellowish, a sign he's not processing the food right

Definitely think that you need to keep up with the enzymes.
 
If you stick with 9.25 units, just be extra cautious. It's a smaller increase than we'd normally do at that size total dose, so hopefully not too much.

Are you giving him extra liquids? Would be good to flush out any ketones. And to help the constipation. Miralax means more water needed. And I agree with Suzanne, keep up the enzymes.

SORRY FOR THE SUDDEN QUESTION: MICIO'S BG DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY TODAY : STALLING AT DINNER AND PM SHOT RIGHT NOW, I RETESTED HIM AFTER 20 MINUTES BUT STILL 54, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
