Lando seems to be having a pretty good day so far. Things are “firming up” in the litterbox, and all eating is semi back on track. Im assuming he has lost weight, but im a bit scared to look. ( will weigh him tomorrow am

Thank you Carla! He is! Hes having a good day. Now i have to deep clean the floors and washing machine. Haha

I’m glad he’s doing better. Wait a week to weigh him as he likely lost water as well. I would give his body a little time to mend if my cat.

Very sound advice ( tho i already weighed him haha)
I think my “striving for excellence” is causing lando some aversions unfortunately. It seems like he considers meal time “ poke, prod, pill and stress” time
I am going to try my best to let him feel more in charge ( sadly i have to continue the shots pricks and pills)

he weighed in at 16.8 ( he has held steady at 17.2 for two or three weeks) and was 18.8 when he was first diagnosed FYI

Well the quicker drop was from 17.2 - 16.8 in 10 days. But as you asked... the vet said his target weight would be in the 15s 16s, so im sure he shouldnt gain weight back, but i still am concerned with fatty liver disease.

Btw he can not properly clean himself now due to obesity, so im sure he wouldnt mind less weight in the way
