Just tested her and she was at 121. I thought maybe the meter was wrong but I tested again on her other ear and got 134!!! She hasn't had any food for 3 hours, I wonder why her numbers jumped so much. The only thing I can think of is that she took a nap on a heating pad earlier (it's a cat safe one), can being warm raise the blood sugar?

Also wondering which number I should use in her spreadsheet? I put the first one there but not sure if I should note that second reading somewhere in the spreadsheet.

Back to 91. Maybe my heating pad theory was right? Should I keep her off of it so her blood sugar isn't spiking when she lays on it?

I doubt the heating pad was why. I don’t 8. know why.

You can put both numbers on the ss 134/121@+8. The two are within meter variance so essentially the same though.

Thanks, I did that. I mostly wanted some way to show that it probably wasn't a fluke reading because it was confirmed by a second test to be that high (or higher).
