Looking good so far, hopefully the fur shot last night didn't throw things off too much.

Probably going to remove the Libre sensor today because it's definitely wonky. It looked OK overnight and wasn't too far off at AMPS but almost immediately after her AM shot, the number dropped and is staying low.

I do think the sensor wonkiness probably has something to do with the insulin injection site being somewhat close to the sensor but I could be wrong. I'd rather keep shooting in the scruff area where I'm comfortable shooting instead of moving all around hoping I find a spot that works with the Libre.

I always give Tessa her insulin while she's eating and she's usually on the floor sort of hunched down which makes it hard to give a shot anywhere other than the scruff because her skin is stretched when she's in that position. I think that's how I ended up with a fur shot yesterday, there wasn't much skin to tent in the spot I tried so the needle went straight through.

I have 1 sensor left and I am seriously considering not putting it on her and just switching to manual tests only. I will very much miss all the overnight data but all the data I do have does suggest that she will probably not drop low overnight.

I decided that we're going to give up on the Libre sensors, at least for now. The inaccuracy was driving me nuts and I think Tessa is over it too lol. The sensor removal and replacement process is kind of stressful for her and I think she'll be happy when she can stop wearing a dress/shirt. I'm going to leave her dress on for a few days to let the hair grow back a bit she she can't lick the bare skin and cause a hot spot.

Thankfully Abbott did replace several of the faulty sensors so we only paid for 4 of the 6 we used and we do have one left. I could still complain about the last two that died early as well and see if they'll replace those. Then I could keep them on hand for future use or donate them to a charity that accepts diabetes supplies.

Looking good, thanks for putting on your SS that you will be using the Relion from now on. I would change your signature to reflect that :cat:
As long as you can get a test before you go to bed that would be great
If you get a +2 and it's lower than the pre shot it might mean it would be an active cycle and further testing may be needed. If possible can you get a +5 or +6 at night

I just realized I missed part of your comment. I don't think I'll be able to get any tests overnight on any sort of regular basis. I am a heavy sleeper and I sleep through the night. My husband is a light sleeper and might get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night sometimes but that's pretty rare. I can probably get a +3 right before bed at times but probably not every night. Maybe I should shift her dosing up by 30 minutes? I'd have to get up earlier which sucks but I could get a PM +3 most nights and maybe get a +4 on the weekends.

That would be great if you can do that but it's up to you :cat:
