I’m freaking out !!!! My poor babe can hardly walk !! since yesterday she’s literally walking on her knees …. Having trouble getting to her bowl .. her “butt” is crouched inwards … is this neuropathie ? What is going on??? I noticed her feet sliding from under her but now this … :(
Any ideas ??? I’m having a vet come to my house tmr but my heart is braking !!!! I’m worried this might be the end of her life as she knows it !!! Please helppppppp :(:(:(

If your kitty is well otherwise it is most likely diabetic neuropathy. But it sounds as if it has come on suddenly.
to treat this you need to get the BGs into more normal numbers. You can also give your kitty Zobaline which you can get from lifelink. It is Methyl B 12 tablets which help the neuropathy.
Once you get the BGs under control and into more normal numbers and give the Zobaline, things will improve.
My Sheba had neuropathy badly but it did improve over time once the BGs became more normal and with the Zobaline.

The vet will most likely not know about the methyl B12 tablets. He might suggest giving Vit B injections but they are not the same things.
I can’t access your 2023 SS to see what the BGs are doing and your 2022 SS is not up to date.

I would recommend getting the Ss sorted out and updated and the posting daily for help.

Looks like stopped following TR and like Bron suspect it’s neuropathy. It will improve as the BG comes down and you start on method B12. It will take some time if that is the problem. Has it been getting worse with time or happened suddenly?

There are a few videos on Youtube showing feline diabetic neuropathy, including this one:
Is this what it looks like? If not, check her legs, do the feet/legs feel cold?

How is Money doing? I see that you had a good cycle today. I'm relieved about that. Did you have bloodwork done? One thing to check is kidneys, and in particular the phosphorus levels. High phosphorus will inhibit nerve signals from "getting through" and can cause difficulty in walking, jumping, etc.

Agree. Low potassium for sure can cause weakness. It also goes along with kidney disease, but there can be other things going on. I have a cat right now whose recent bloodwork shows moderately low potassium, but he has absolutely no kidney disease. It can be associated with liver disease as well, but sometimes it's idiopathic and you just need to supplement. I hope Money is doing better!

Hey guys thx so much for all the support !!!sorry for the delay !! I’ve been working crazy hrs !!! I have updated my spreadsheet as well as possible since I lost a lot of data when starting using a dexcom while waiting for the libre … I lost everything :banghead:

I watched the video and it kinda looks like that !!! She had mild neuro last time she was on juice…but nothing like now !!! Wonder if I can’t post a vid here !?!
