Still bouncing. Actively rising too; he was 372 only 20 minutes ago.

I actually hope he keeps bouncing today, so I don’t have to worry about him being unwatched - we have another kitty sick with loss of appetite over the last few days, and today her belly seems to hurt to be touched, also possibly a bit swollen? Maybe pancreatitis? Maybe she also ate something she really shouldn’t have (like ribbon). She is young and normally very healthy, so we are very worried. We are probably taking her to the ER vet, but they are very busy and they say we should wait until after 8 to see if either of our local vets can see her first instead. Prayers please for little black Missy…

Aw :( sending positive vibes.

Well apparently Missy’s situation is a strange one. She came to us from outside, and never went into heat so we thought maybe she’d been spayed already. Apparently not, and she had been pregnant when she came in - we thought maybe she was at the time because her nipples were pinked up. But then they shrunk again so we thought we were wrong. It turns out her litter died. No one knows why. :( We are so sad. And also, still, worried, because she’s been carrying the dead babies for months now! And it’s created a horrible infection, of course. (It’s actually amazing to me that it’s taken this long.) So she is going to have to have surgery for a more complex spay next Tuesday. Until then, she got a strong antibiotic shot and some fluids, and she has to take more antibiotics, to strengthen her some first. It’s still a risky surgery due to her state now - better than 50-50, but not much.

So please, prayers from anyone who is willing to, for Missy to get through her surgery and get better. We love her so much. She is so sweet. And she is only about a year old, maybe a year and a half. Please.

On the Jack front, nothing much has changed, still bouncing, as expected.
