It is the best place for her at the moment.Yes I emailed them & said I was coming when they opened. How do they know if she’s in dka? I’ll be devastated if she passes away there & I’m not with her. I don’t want to leave her but I know it’s her only chance.
They will test her blood and see if her electrolytes are all ok or out of balance and other things in her blood. If she isn’t too bad, they can correct that by giving her whatever electrolytes she needs. And they can put her aon a continuous drip with insulin to combat the ketones.
Do you think that if you put her into the kitty litter she would pee for you? if so have a little container ready to catch the urine. It would be really helpful to know how many ketones she has.
