If only going to take an hour why are you questioning whether to shoot? You can feed before and give mc if you think he’s too low. He’s close to earning a reduction I see.

Hour drive there, hour appointment, and hour drive back. I was just asking because I haven’t brought him to be groomed while he was diabetic.
 
I see. Is you test and feed before you leave and before you come home I think it will be fine.
 
How long after the shot do you have to leave? He is staying pretty flat so like Elise said you can always feed and test before you have to leave.

No no. Sorry. I meant, you feed and shoot him at his usual time. If possible, you could test and feed him after you reach the groomers. Even if you can't test him, you could try getting him to eat a little before and after the appointment.
