How is Kitkat doing in general? I like reading about the zoomies.
He is doing real good!!! I made some remarks in my SS. Grooming, eating, p&p good, playing, truly just as happy as he was before all this. :cat:
Is her weight getting any better?
I should weigh him again, its been a while. My bathroom scale is only to nearest lb, not ideal. Hunting for infant scale to get oz.... no luck so far... Walmart and such, nope, medical supply co,,,nope. Maybe ToysRUs baby, will check there. There are online shooping options.
He should be consuming 230 kcal/day to safely drop based on ideal weight. I've calculated he is getting 210-270 on average,.... probably too high. I have not been focusing on his calorie intake until now, since he's surfing nice. Cutting out all dry has made a big difference. Also, based on 'Caloric Weight Basis' he gets P 45%, F 48%, and Carbs 7%. (pretty much Dr Lisa feline appropriate). I will start portion control.
Any chance she'll be able to get a dental?
I know that dental health is crutial for him,,,however you probably won't like my answer here. He has had bad lungs since his rescue, annual xrays showing fine to heavy spiderwebbing throughout, excess fat obscurring this as well to see his heart and such clearly. Minor improvement in the shadowing this last xray (Sept) for the first time, vet uncertain, sent to specialist for analysis, report was inconclusive again, possible asthma (yet no signs except being frequently wheezy), possibly something else (cant remember now) steroids not required at this time since xrays have been consistent for 7 years. No coughing.
Sorry this so long.... I will get to my point now:p. He is 17 years old, he is considered high risk for being put under, (he has been) but never in my care.
For the life of me, going through FD now, I just could not live with myself if I signed that waiver to lose him in the ER for the sake of his teeth. (sad face)

Oh yikes, sorry Wendy, I should have started off with a Big Thankyou for checking in on me again! Its so nice to know there are some eyes on us:p. The zoomies are the best, he gets "crazy eyes" and then blast off! hahahaa. And for the advice on copy/paste ;). for a January, it's almost downright tropical balmy, right? :joyful:

Sorry, he not she. I get the not able to have a dental, Neko’s heart didn’t allow anaesthesia either. Great report on him otherwise.:)

Just one tiny pile of snow left, the rest is melted.

I had a hard time finding a scale that didn’t cost a fortune and I would be able to keep him on, we ended up buying a luggage scale and using a large shopping bag to weigh him.
He didn’t love it at first but with lots of treats…now we say Indi in da bag and it’s not too much of a struggle :)
