HOLY CRAP!!! I came home from work tonight and Millie hadn't eaten a lot today. I was half an hour late getting home but could fudge it back in the morning. Her BG was 72!!! Was going to take it again but looked at her numbers of the FS Libre, which has run 80 to 150 points higher than her blood glucose and it showed that she had dropped from about 320, at about 10AM and plummeted to about 105 at noon, gone up to 150+by about 2PM, then really plummeted to about sixty(in the red on the graph) a little past 6PM/She then bounced back to about 140 at 7:30+, 165 at 8:00 (when her BG was 72). Keep in mind how much higher the Libre numbers have been running than BG. If she was down to around 60 or so, on the Libre, she would have been hypo on BG. And I wasn't home. She seems fairly fine now but I am seeing some of her inner eyelid peaking out. I'm going to give antinausea and appetite stimulant
I just took her BG at +.5 and it is 111. She's on 3.75. I can't shoot, right, because I can't hold off because I have to be out of here, in the morning, in exactly 12 hours. Do I just feed and skip a shot? I haven't even had a chance to look at the guidelines. Ugh.

The Libre reads lower than a regular meter in normal numbers. Were you able to get a test with a meter?

Did you skip the shot?

I got 72@PMPS, 111 a half hour later. I was going to test a second time, then decided to take a reading with the Libre. If it was high, then I would know to test again right away. The Libre was about 90 more than her BG. I just happened to look at the graph of the rest of the day and saw how long she had spent in the green and that she had actually dipped into the red. My only experience has been that it reads 80 to 150 points higher than the BG test, so I freaked. My time is so tight between tonight and leaving for work in the morning that I didn't feel like I could risk being up all night with a hypo, then have to leave in the morning. So, no, I didn't shoot.

My vet had told me that the Libre tracks fairly closely to BG and someone here said that hers had been tracking 10 to20 points within range of BG. I figured I just got one that was calibrated wrong or tracked higher for some reason. It has consistently been that much higher, even in the averages. She has been higher lately with her but of nausea/inappetance. I though that was gone but not evidenced by today.
