Looks like the Libre is indeed reading much higher than your meter.

Part of it is that there is lag time between the FreeStyle Lite sample/meter, and I understand that. It's one of the things they make you read about on the Libre Facebook page. But even given that, it seems to be higher. I think I need to get a month under our belt to look at curves and compare with blood tests on days that I'm home and shifting 30 minutes, so they line up more like they should. When I am listing both, they are taken at the same time when, to be accurate, they should be 30 minutes apart, I believe. However, that would make me crazy. For sure, I will always do a blood test before I shoot. The lower the numbers get, the less difference there is between them. I believe that was the same with the difference between human and animal meters. Alpha Trak, freestyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre are all Abbot products. It will take time to make sense of it and feel secure using it. I did talk to my vet today (the one who is recently out of vet school). She is excited that I was willing to give it a go and admits that new technology is hard to sell people on, both vets and patients. She has no problem with me using the forums etc... and is happy that I'm trying to learn everything that I can. I think this is going to be a good partnership. I just have to remember...one foot in front of the other, even if it is just baby steps.
