Hello,
I have to leave for work soon. Yesterday Tigera’s insulin was reduced to 2.75U for her pm dose because her numbers dipped down the lowest they’ve been …. This morning she is reading high again. Should I give her 2.75U or back to 3U any advice is appreciated . I won’t be able to check on her bg levels for a few hours when I sneak home for a break TIA . Pls see her spreadsheet below

Stay with the new dose of 2.75 U. Dosing is based on the lowest point in the cycle, not the preshot BG.
I would leave some food out for her when you leave.
When you have time, can you look at the two dosing methods that are in the yellow stickies at the top of the page and choose one. When you have chosen it, pop it into the SS and the signature so we can see it please.

Ok thank you very much !!!

Hi! Bron is an excellent person to be listening to. :)

The best input and reassurance I can give so far is my experience, which is that with Jackson (and apparently commonly) every time he dips low, he has what they here call a “liver panic” reaction and bounces high the next day. (Or two.) So going high the next morning and the rest of the day is not unexpected. You might even get some sleep tonight. Heh.

I guess it’s part of the “patience pants” thing… you only get to see the actual results of a dose change up or down two to three days after the change happens. Lantus is a gradual working insulin… I’m still trying to learn to wear those pants, though I’m getting better.
