third day back w cerenia, he now wont eat any kibble (75% of his calories)
Only licking gravy, some pure bites and churu

prepared to syringe feed on monday if this is pancreatitis . Calling vet monday ( usually takes a few days to hear back from him)
His pre feeding energy seemed great however
 
Oh Lando, poor baby. I hope the cerenia kicks in and he keeps eating treats for you at least. Also hope your vet gives you ondansetron, combining the two is sometimes necessary with pancreatic kitties (I have to do it for Wicket when he flares up).

I dont have any pain meds… i remember having to sign some waiver to get bupe a year ago. Regardless, lando seems really good other than the eating. He is purring and cuddles. My guess is that he is not in pain. He just vomited the past week and now wont eat his food

That’s odd for the bupe. I know vets are difficult about it, every time I have had it they have given me prefilled syringes because its a controlled substance. Even gabapentin cannot be refilled automatically for the same reasons.

It’s good that he doesn’t seem to be in pain. I am trying to think of any enticing tips that worked with my cats… With my IBD cat I have found that sometimes when she just wont eat for hours and hours, smearing a bit of her food on her nose “kickstarts” her. It’s almost like she forgets that food tastes good, and licking her nose reminds her? Of course you can’t do that with dry food, but maybe baby food?
 
At least his BG isnt dropping due to inappetence. I gave him lots of scratching ( at his rear where he is too fat to reach) and he ate a bit
 
It sure sounds like pancreatitis to me. He’s still nauseous which is why he licks the gravy but won’t eat. Is your vet working today so you can get ondansetron to try? How much of his usual amount is he eating? I’d syringe today. Hepatic lipidosis can happen quickly in a fluffy cat if not getting 1/2-3/4 of his usual amount.

Sunday the vet is closed. I will syringe him today. Good to know that they can exhibit no sign of pain and still be having a panc flare

Sorry i didnt answer… the last two days he has eaten half of his usual. Today hes maybe 1/4 or less

Oh noooo chewie!! Sending all the healing wishes and stamina for you ;) haha it IS exhausing. lando is maybe a spot better, but i can tell it will take a little while for him to bounce back. A request for a chat is into the vet and my eyes are droopy ha
