Good morning! Thanks for all the help yesterday. ♡

Trying to get Leo's wee sample to return to the vet, but he's not producing yet. He hates being behind a closed door, so the 2nd attempt, I left the door very slightly ajar and he didn't bolt. Still nothing when he left the room after more than five minutes. Sigh...

Good luck getting the sample! Fortunately when I had Neko, I could almost put the cats on a pee timer. :p

One other possible diagnosis for you is the ProBNP blood test. It gives a bit more information about the heart.

I think he snuck off to use a litter box when I wasn't looking. He's sleeping sprawled out on his back on the couch. :rolleyes:

BG did come up with a little 10% mw LC.
Knowing his nadir is still to come, this time I offered his LC mw 10% + a little HC. This is not usually my custom, but he just recently dropped .25. The back and forth drives me crazy.

Have you considered changing Leo's reduction criteria to be for a cat that doesn't hold reductions well? That would be 3 times between 40 and 49 on three separate days, or once under 40.

We have tried the 3 drops rule before when Leo was not holding reductions and going back and forth between doses.

Basically, you don't reduce when he drops below 50 the first time, but wait for 3 drops between 40 and 50 on 3 separate days. A drop below 40 however, is an immediate reduction.
