Happy Sunday!

Biggie napped all day without getting up much yesterday..But then, last night he found some YeoWWW catnip toys I got to donate to a fundraiser. They were sitting on top of a box and he started staring in that direction and meowing. Finally I pulled one out for him and he batted it around and then licked it for about a half an hour. I was so thrilled to see him play! (I ordered some new ones to replace those!)

Awww it’s so lovely when they surprise you with a kittenish episode, isn’t it? Of course any toy purchased for him will instantly be less appealing :p hope you two have a great Sunday and Biggie surfs safely!
Haha, that’s true, he does have lots of other catnip toys, even Yeowww toys, but THIS one he had to have.
I just can’t get over seeing this side of him…he’s been so mellow these past few months…and most vets say numbers in the 200s are fine, but I would not be seeing this side of him if he stayed in that range. And more importantly, he wouldn’t be feeling so much better if he stayed in that range.

Nice start to the day. Molly has a few catnip toys, one she uses for a pillow.
Biggie likes to use them as pillows, too. He looks really cut with his head resting on them.

It is fantastic to see them playing, it is one thing I noticed with Whiskey when she first came home from the shelter, absolutely zero interest in playing...now I know she was in feeling like awful and just trying to survive. Now that she's controlled, regulated and feeling so much better she LOVES to play :)

It really just lifts up my day!

Aww I’m glad Whiskey has also made a transformation! She’s so cute, I love to think of her being playful and joyful!

Joyful is sometimes a bit of a stretch, her previous owner seems to have done a real number on her in terms of trust and joy, dumping her at a shelter because of her illness I suspect ...

I went all woo woo and asked an animal communicator for help because she was just such an angry, unhappy girl at some point, and the things she told me correlated so much with the Whiskey I knew that I actually do believe that she made contact. Whiskey is slowly getting to the point that she trusts that this is home (after more than a year), and there are moments of pure joy and trust with me; but she is still so difficult with our other cat who is a really easy going boy and doesn't understand this strange woman in the house, which is something that may never change based on what the communicator told me.
