Hi!! I know i havent posted in ages. My apologies. I updated my black Panther Frodos Numbers and i really need help and advice. I know i always hold the dose too long but this worked before as he kinda click in after good few days but this time it’s the opposite. He’s in 300ies most of the amps/pmps. Also on the 2nd of October when he was 127 amps we were going for a small trip that morning and my MIL was minding my cats but when he went down 73/72 at +4 just to be safe she gave him bit more carbsy food as she was panicking he will go in hypo. She’s an elderly lady and first time she stayed with my cats since Frodos diagnosis. So I still wondering if I messed up with his numbers by giving him MC and HC food that day?? Wud that affect his numbers days after ?? I increased since then to 1u. Was that a good move? Let me know. Thank you.

It was fine to give the carbs if you were away and your MIL was minding Frodo and was nervous on 2 Oct.. It would only affect the numbers for a cycle at most.

Yes that was a good move to increase the dose.
You are following TR, so each 3 days you can increase the dose, if the numbers are not improving.
If I were you I would post more often and ask for advice if you are unsure. You are holding the dose too long. Keeping Frodo in higher numbers is not in his best interests.
I would increase the dose to 1.25 units if I were you.

From the TR protocol
Increasing the dose:
  • Hold the dose for 3 - 5 days (6 - 10 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are less than 200 before increasing the dose by 0.25 unit.
    • if your cat is new to numbers under 200, it is recommended to hold the dose for at least 8-10 cycles before increasing.
    • when your cat starts to see nadirs under 100, hold the dose for at least 10 cycles before increasing.
  • Increase by 0.25 unit after 3 days (6 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are greater than 200, but less than 300.
  • Increase by 0.5 unit after 3 days (6 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are greater than 300.
