I'm glad he's doing well only with a little AM blue.

Oreo is looking very good! The typical onset for Lantus is around +2 but for some cats it can be earlier or later.

I'm going to tag @tiffmaxee and @Bron and Sheba (GA) on whether you need to try a drop dose or whether Oreo is ready for an OTJ trial.

Okay, thank you! Oh I don't mind doing the drop dose if that's better for Oreo. It's just I never understand how a drop dose being measured.

It's actually the easiest dose to measure!

To measure a drop dose, push the plunger of the empty syringe in fully, keep it pressed and insert in the pen. Let go of the pressure on the plunger and it will draw a drop. When you insert the needle into Oreo, push the plunger and count to 10 if he will let you.

Tried it and it worked magically!

I would go with the drop dose as the longer you can keep him on insulin, the stronger the remission.
He’s looking great!
