10/15 Max AMPS 237 +3 304 +5 192 +7 155 +9 150 PMPS 163 +2 221 +3 161 +4 140

Bouncing again, so I’m going to be patient and see where he lands after it’s over.

I would like some opinions about tomorrow though. We have to be gone all day tomorrow, three hours away to visit family. If by some crazy chance that Max comes down from the bounce, is it better to:
Leave MC food in his automatic feeder for all day (enough for 4 feedings) or
Give some sort of a reduced dose.
I’d hate to have to give a reduced dose, but whatever is best. Last time we were gone (9/11/22) I left out MC, but this time we are leaving early (after his AMPS +2 and back at PMPS) We have to be at my grandson’s baby dedication at their church.
I want to have a game plan, even though he might not even come down. @Wendy&Neko @FrostD Thanks in advance.

Ah, hard to say. In Max's case I think it's better to avoid reduced doses when it's safe...he takes so long to catch back up/even out, stop bouncing so much it feels like a step backward. But, safety first.

This dose hasn't taken him low at all, and even that 94 had a bit of old depot in it. I'd be inclined to leave MC for just until nadir (not sure what your feeding times are).

Ok Melissa thanks. I was thinking the same. Just wanted a second opinion on him.:)

Reducing for one cycle isn't usually a good solution, due to the nature of the depot. The larger depot typically influences at least the first half of the cycle. Whenever I needed Neko to be safe, I reduced several cycles ahead of when I'd be gone, so the depot would be reduced too.

Okay I will remember that for next time. Hopefully he will be okay with the MC left in the feeder. Thanks everyone. Seems like I have to ask every time we go but just making sure.

This may completely backfire on me or it may not help at all, but I’ve got to satisfy my instinct I guess. I took into consideration all that we talked about and I appreciate all of the good advice. A temporary dose of 5 units may not be enough nor will it be enough cycles to make any difference, but I decided to try that. He may also bounce again and this will set him back, which is probably what’s going to happen, but that’s what I’m going to try and leave MC out if necessary depending on his number in the morning. I may be completely off in left field with this but I will just call it an experiment. I don’t have anyone who can check on him tomorrow and I’m a little worried but I don’t want to ruin his progress either.
