10/13 Herman amps 68 +3 79 +7 65 +10 76 pmps 124 +8 99

Oh no….followed by a scarf n barf. He didn’t seem to eat that fast but up it came. I will feed again in half hour once he settles. So much for grabbing another hour of sleep.

Looks like he is done with this dose. What time do you shoot? 5am? 6am?
I aim for 4am. Can I reduce him this eve even if he doesn’t hit lime? (I can bump him up throughout day with mc). He just ate a bit, would have eaten more but I’ll space it out to avoid another scarf n barf. He seems happy and fine otherwise.

I think so. Let's see what he does in the first 2-3 hours of the cycle. Don't carb him up too much also. I know he is giving you a hellish ride down the dosing ladder. :blackeye:

Why do you shoot so early?
A few reasons, the first being that he has had his “dinner” around 4pm with his dog-brother for as long as I can remember. It coincides with when I usually bring him in and close his cat flap for the day, I also have horse chores at 430pm-ish 365 days a year (give or take the odd reprieve) so I have to” be around” at that time every day anyway no matter what so it makes sense to me to lump his shot around then too. That way (once Herman stabilizes!) I could have some free time in the eve. I just figured I am best lumping my “must be home at this time everyday” responsibilities together. A 4pm shot means a 4am shot….
That said, we are heading into our first cold Canadian winter with diabetes so I may find it makes more sense to switch to 6am/6pm, but that means if I did ever want to go out for the eve I couldn’t leave before 630pmish and even then couldn’t get a +1. I do go to bed super early.
I should note that I have help with the horses (there are a few houses spread around the property and my sister is in one and we share horse responsibilities which is often a 2 person job) but there is noone who can give herm his shots or test him other than me (my sister and her kids will give Herman gravy on days I must go out if worry about his numbers but they cannot test) and my husband can take the occasional test but he’s rarely here unless I am here anyway (he works in town daytime and if I go out weekends and eve it would be with him ideally).

Been feeding hourly since 4am. Gave some more 12% @+7 as I have a zoom starting...now actually ...that will take minimum 1 hour so wont be able to check on him for the next bit. I think I would like to go ahead and try that reduction tonight as you mentioned earlier.

Try it. He might just be in a mood to zoom down the dosing ladder - if you are having to prop him up with carbs in the 3rd cycle after a skip!
I just caught up on your condo. Good luck with the reducie! So soon, but Herman will make it worthwhile, I am sure. :)

Thanks both of you! :D:D:DKept him up today with not an unreasonable amount of 12% added to 3% (compared to 25% the other days) but still very frequent feedings. So I think I will go for the reduction.

If it takes....yay!...
And if not and he starts trending too high for a day or two and will bump dose back up, maybe I will get to go out for a dinner tomorrow - it's my birthday
