He’s generally eating a mix of lc/mc (mc is12-15% gravy lovers) every 2 hours to keep him from dropping too low.

Thanks Bhooma, that makes good sense. I’ll see what happens keeping to lc except on dives or when too low, obviously.

Thanks….I’m very grateful he responds so well to the higher carb (knock on wood). I’ll need to keep close eye on him today, I’m half expecting a bounce and if he does I’ll hold off on reduction until morning. We shall see. I’m very tired these days.

Yes I’m really happy! Today is a bit hairy though. +6 fed more hc 27% can’t update spreadsheet as I’m in barn on phone.

IMO and If it were me with these BGs and the need for HC AND how tired you are, I would take the reduction tonight.

Take the reduction tonight. If he bounces, it will give you some time off. You need a break to recoup. And the depot takes 4 cycles to adjust.

His next shot is due in 2 hours and 15 minutes so I’ll need to withhold food. I’ll give him a snack right at +10. Curious if my no shoot number is still 50 or if I should be more conservative in case he’s still heading downwards….

You can shoot any number over 50. He might either bounce or you'd have to feed higher carbs. Are you contemplating a skip?

I’ll be nervous to shoot another 65 like I had this Morning given the day we had but I also know he’s likely to bounce so should prob go for it.

Yikes. Now I’m really anxious, going to be a very long scary night…. Lime again. Ugh. Fed 12% w/ karo, showing slight aggression, not sure when I’ll be able to let me test him again.

Yes. Mischief managed. For now. Although I really overdid it with karo…. He was sitting in what I think people call loaf position low growling. I was able to get a re- test while he was eating but after I did the retest I realized he had been licking the dollop of karo I had squeezed onto the plate instead of the food with drops of karo I mixed in on the other side of plate. He flew up to 7.4 after 20 minutes. I’ll test again in half hour I know karo wears off quick. He is quiet resting now.
