10/6 Chewie AMPS 225/ +3 205/ PMPS 429/ +2.5 310

Did you manage to get any tests last night before bed? I found my little stinker still liked to dive at night, in spite of being in a hotel room.

One tip I forgot to mention. I don't know how easy it's been to round your cats up to put them in carriers for the trip, but I found stuffing pillows at the entrance to the bed headboard, between it and the wall, prevented some panic. Those headboards can't be moved easily, but are a great place for cats to hide where you can't get them. Found that out one morning. Fortunately food got her out.

I did not get any further tests after dinner. I had been frantically packing and cleaning all day, we were all exhausted, I decided to let it slide thinking she was bouncing anyway. Really didn’t expect her to be this low in the AM!

Today she was at 205 at +3 but refused to touch wet food in the car - there was a lot of drama, long story short we had to rush to the nearest pet store to buy an additional carrier as she was determined to beat up her emotional support traveling companion… I was afraid leaving her without food would be dangerous so gave her an entire tuna churu and 5-6 pieces of kibble to ensure she had at least some calories.

PMPS was predictably high at 429 but she ate her entire dinner. Will get another test at +3 before giving her second dinner.

Traveling with senior cats in a small car isn’t for the faint of heart! I probably grew an entire handful of grey hair today

Been thinking of you and sending good vibes your way. Moving cross country is definitely an …. experience!

Here’s hoping for smoother sailing tomorrow. I’ll be checking in for updates. Safe travels.
