09/28 Wendy PMPS 317 (+2) 408 AMPS 524 NEW DOSE

Wendy's dose was decreased yesterday PM, as recommended by Chris , to 3.5 units. I tested her at +2 after PM shot and the numbers were higher (408) than PMPS (317). Therefore, I didn't continue testing throughout the rest of the cycle.

AMPS 524 with new dose administered 3.5 units and will be testing at +3. I will also continue testing daily for ketones.

Wendy ate well last night and this morning. She continues to drink more than usual and waiting for the vet to call me back so that I can give update.

Any recommendations on how to test today or should I continue testing as I have?

If still high at +2 or +3 just get one more test between +5-7 and vary it each day to try and see how low she’s going.

Wendy was 524 @ +3. I will test again between +5-7. I also tested for ketones and was negative. I haven't given her any sub-q fluids today and I can tell she feels crummy.

100mls is a pretty hefty amount of fluids daily, especially if you're not dealing with CKD. Have you ever tried giving her less and see if it has the same results?

If she needs 100, then that's what she needs...I was just wondering if you'd ever tried a smaller amount like 50ml
