Adequan dosage

My civvie, Mouse, needs to start Adequan. Her dosage is 0.2cc. The vets needles are huge! I thought I'd measure out the correct amount and then suck it up into one of my insulin needles. They are so much smaller. But, now it says I have 18 units. Is that right? It has to be, right? I have no brains left at this point and I don't want to overdose my girl!

As Larrry said, for .2cc it would be pulled down to the 20 line on our tiny insulin syringes...I take units out of my head and think more in terms of mL in these cases. :bighug::bighug:

We were able to give her the first dose this a.m. It took 4 sticks, but we got it all in. Mouse is crazy sensitive and those harpoons the vet gave us would never happen!

Glad u got it in though. :)

The people docs give my aunt waaay to big needles too...like, why??!! I had to order her some on amazon.
