I didn't miss the 88 the other day. I've been thinking you might want to look at a lower reduction point considering your are testing enough and his history of DKA. Would you be comfortable with a reduction point of 70 or 80 rather than 90? Anyway, let's see what he does today.

Is the 110 1 hour after the shot or 1 hour from 131? Feed a little LC each hour.

I wouldnt be because i wont be home with him most of the time as mentioned, he does not stay with me

Don't fill him up. You want him to be hungry enough to eat every hour, if needed. Which flavour of FF Gravy Lovers do you have?

Both Accuchek and Libre showed 112?

You don't need to feed higher carbs unless he drops much lower. Stay with his usual LC. I have to step out for an hour. I will see you when I'm back.

He is still in safe numbers. You need to worry only if he drops below 50. Lower numbers are scary at first but remember that these are normal numbers and it is good for him to spend time in normal numbers for his pancreas to heal.

Let us see where he is at PMPS and then take a call on the dose for the night.

Ok. It just kept dropping and it git me panic.

I would really want a rather safer dose this PMPS. I would be in again for tmr AMPS.

I understand your panic. All of us have experienced that at our first greens. But these are normal blood sugar values. Also Lantus is a depot insulin and it is not dosed on preshots but nadirs. Even if you were to give a lower dose, the depot will continue to influence the numbers.

You will get used to lower numbers. Just give yourself time :-)

I wouldn't be so worried if i am staying w him though.

Anw what do u think his nadir id at? +6 / +8

His nadir does seem to be around +6, except in bounce breaking cycles where it is later.

I see he is up to 131 now. You want to check 2 hours after the high carb to see if he still stays up after the carbs have worn off.

Its already wearing off. He is at 110 now
 
Sorry. Just saw these messages. Go down to 1.75U tonight.

Just keep in mind that with a history of DKA you want him to be in better numbers. I too understand your concern about you not being around to monitor him all the time and so you are worried about him dropping very low.
