Phoebe is new to diabetes, I have been working on lower carb dry food.
I have 3 other indoor cats and 4 outdoor ferals. (they are well cared for--condo's and everyting)
I have had a lot of help in looking from Diane Tylers mom (wonderful person)
I am posting on this forum to ask for any additional knowledge and sources.

@Diane Tyler's Mom
@Diane Tyler's Mom knows the score! I could offer experiences to share, but my knowledge likely wouldnt top tylers mom ;)
FWIW i have experience feeding Dr Elseys kibble, Young Again and transitioned my kibble addict to Stella & chewys freeze dried raw ( right before he was diagnosed with kidney disease and had to ditch it.

You have tricks to get them to transition? Tell me more tell me more....
my tough one is Snickers. solid feral--in the house-- I actually put his moist down today and sprinkled it with his fav--Friskies party mix-original--which I know is bad for Phoebe. He actually ate --mostly the kibble--but he did dip his little cutie face in and ate. He is very light. maybe 5-6 lbs. I have a scale coming for him and the rest. Phoebe 10yo went from 14 to 11lb--diabetes, Jack 12yo---16.5lb--working on getting him down. He is FIV-oral resorptive and herpes kitty--my little purring engine. Snickers--6 yo feral born in my hut 2016. (I didn't know his momma was a girl till I got a pic of them going across the yard). came inside one day as a kit. decided to stay--but still has the feral blood--flies through the house and picks on the others to play with him. And then Moosey 14 yo. Kidney kitty. her momma took her to the shelter cuz she had an accident. I grabbed her and she has such a personality. beautiful baby. she was 16lb--i think she is down to 14. and then my outdoor group--Momma kitty--snickers mom--tuxedo-runs the roost, her mate Eyesy-- pure black and eyes of green, hence the name. They stay together always- I am planning on catching them--maybe not t good idea-but the neighborhood is building, and lastly--Tigger grey striper.. ? 4-5yo? las of my next door neighbors loot of cats. shy blind in one eye i believe. finally coming into the sun porch and sleeps--another easy catch when I do.....she lost her momma last winter to kidney disease....:(. I also have a black feral Sassy---but I fear he has crossed over --I haven't seen for a month. I have seen him take down a squirrel.. He survived a lot. I hope he is good. They all have condos and warm beds and food/water. spoiled --all of them.

You sound like an angel. These cats are so lucky to have found you!!
I do not have a catch all trick for transitioning from kibble to wet. It was more patience and persistence more than anything. I also have a multiple cat household, so i understand the chaos of individual feeding.
Here is the rough outline of helping Lando eat more wet over a 5 month period ( WAS NEVER 100% completed)
I gave Lando cerenia daily to help nausea
I would give him his kibble, then a treat then a bit of freeze dried raw ( per feeding)
Lando was fed 4xs a day plus snacks
Freeze dried chicken would be crumbled over the raw
I never forced lando to eat the raw. If he walked away twice i would take it away.
Honestly the crumbled freeze dried chicken may have been the biggest trick. good luck and hello to all your feline friends

There are only a scant few dry foods that are low in carbs. Fundamentally, dry food is terrible for cats. They are obligate carnivores and dry food typically contains vegetable matter up to and including powered cellulose (in common parlance, that's sawdust). The best resource I've seen on transitioning cats from dry to canned food is from Lisa Pierson, DVM. This is a link on transitioning from her website on feline nutrition.

Like Chelsea said, sprinkling treats on top of the food as an enticement can help.

I forgot about sprinkling freeze dried treats on the wet food
Break them up into tiny pieces
You can give her any freeze dried treats for a snack
most members give freeze dried treats , they are low carb, you can probably find them in some local pet stores also
I did a search for you on here and copied what some members said they use,

When testing you can give them a treat so they will associate after testing they will get a reward, any freeze dried treats are ok such as
PureBites Freeze-Dried Cat Treats with Chicken Breast 2.3 oz ()https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071P

Also chewys has freeze dried treats also

The freeze dried treats you can get at petsmart, petco and order from chewy. Purebites is popular (cheaper if you buy the dog food ones). My crew like vital essentials it's dehydrated freeze dried raw comes in flavors

freeze dried minnows, made by Vital Essentials. I also buy the ones made for dogs. They're the same as the freeze dried minnows for cats. just cheaper. They also carry other freeze dried treats. I ordered mine through Amazon.

I think the vital essentials are more of a crunchy texture than the purebites

If you cat likes any of these you can buy the bigger bags for dogs they are the same ,you will get more for your money just break then up into smaller pieces
.

You can Google freeze dried treats and see what other ones there are and different flavors
Just make sure that is the only ingredient in them meaning turkey, chicken, minnows etc

Here is another one , I see you can get these in different flavors also just look
You may have to break any freeze dried treats in half if they are too big
https://www.amazon.com/Vital-Essent...ocphy=9003521&hvtargid=pla-630511512365&psc=1

Flavor Name: Duck Liver
Ahi Tuna
  • Chicken
  • Chicken Giblets
  • Chicken Hearts
  • Duck Liver
  • Minnows
  • Rabbit

Some sprinkle bonito flakes or Parmesan cheese on the wet food
