8/30 Max AMPS 368 +1 321 +2 314 +3 300 +7 224 +11 214 PMPS 210

Good Morning Lori,
How are you feeling today? Have the antibiotics whipped your sinus infection's :spam: ? Hope so:bighug:
Glad you got some well deserved rest last night. Enjoy your day today with the kiDDies (not to be confused by kiTTies) :p
Good morning Angela, I hope you are doing well and have a great day! Yes those antibiotics are working well. I have a lot of allergies so I get sinus infections quite a bit unfortunately. Someone once told me I may be allergic to cats. I didn’t even want to hear that!!! So I take my allergy meds and kiss Max all I want to lol. Thanks, looking forward to seeing my little girls today. Poor Max is still bouncing. He gets to hide away upstairs this morning while they are here. Hope you have a wonderful day! Do you get to work from home yet?

I wasn’t sure if this was going to be a dive or not so I’ve fed 8% @ +1, +2, +3. It’s a lot of pink there and he’s basically flattened out but by that +1, I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. I’m getting ready to be occupied with toddlers that I can’t leave unattended to check on Max upstairs, so hopefully that will keep him from doing anything unexpected. I understand the basics about diving and how to check and feed, but Max is hard to figure out for me. Is it just me or what? Let me know if this was a good plan or if I should have done differently, that’s how I learn. Thanks so much.:)

Are we up for a dive tonight Max? What are you telling me little guy? Please don’t.
I'd PJ party with you but looks like my girl is bouncing. Why can't these two get on the same dive bounce page already that way at least the humans would have something to do in-between tests and feeding. :p

I think I'd have done the same without being able to check...I might have stopped the higher-LC at +2 but no harm no foul

I do suspect you've got a dive coming, based on these lower flat numbers, and of course the fact I'm sure the kids wore you out and you'd like sleep

Thank you Melissa. I thought a dive was coming too and yes, I am worn out from today. I think I slowed it down too much though. I fed him MC at PMPS and again at +1 (13%) instead of LC. I fed LC @+3 and +4 (4%). I was experimenting to see if I could stop the dive and then maybe he would surf a little later. How would you feed him to slow a predicted dive and get him to a good number, then stay flat? I’ve tried feeding LC at PMPS, then 9% at +1 and +2 and he still had a dive when I did that. I guess it’s all trial and error but it seems like I either do too much or not enough. If you could give me an example of what you’d do that would be awesome. Seems like you’ve got a good eye on what to expect, way better than me! I just hate waking up in the mornings with these very high numbers from a bad bounce. Thanks so much!

I'd have tried the same thing pretty much. I wonder if he'll slide down and have another later nadir tonight though (8/13, 8/17 as examples)...or maybe he'll be polite and stay flat yellow and give you action tomorrow AM cycle!

I know it's maddening, trying to predict as best you can then they stick it to you

It really is maddening. I’m determined to figure this out or at least get it halfway manageable. I also thought about a later nadir, but was really thinking if I slowed him down enough, he’d stay flat for me and I’d have a lower AMPS like you said. If we could start off at a decent number in the morning that would be a lot easier for me. But.. he’s a cat so he’s going to do what he wants to do. Thank you again for your help.
