8/30 Herman amps 115 +1 229 +4 137 pmps 333 +2 344

Why are you stalling? Sometimes numbers can drop without food. 115 is safe to shoot with both TR and SLGS if you can monitor.
Ok, was just low for what I’m used to. Would be our lowest pre shot and wasn’t sure if we have hit nadir yet, I’m thrown by low pre shots! But yes, I can monitor today so I will feed and shoot now. Thanks.

He often nadirs at the end of the cycle, so it good go either way. Either he will head up from here or since this is the 6th cycle since the green, he might be done with the bounce and give you an active cycle.

Get a +1. Remind me what % you have in MC and HC?

I have ff gravies in 12-15% range. I have a few other gravies in slightly higher carb maybe up to 19% in brands like weruva. What should I be looking for carb wise for “high”? Higher than 19%?

I’m pet sitting for my sister, her house is on same property and she has tons of high carb gravy treats and wet foods. I will go there in 45 min so I can bring back a collection, I’ll check carbs on the food spreadsheet.

Herman is tail pulling a bit this morning. Still don’t know if it’s food related or not. He hasn’t eaten anything but “his usual” in weeks. Could be habit at this point. He REALLY wanted me to wake up at 4am…wonder if he had gone green and was trying to tell me (that’s how I caught the last +11 early morning green, he wouldn’t get off my head).

I wonder if it is a stress response. He could sense he was dropping. Next time he wakes you up insistently, get a test. It's usually a sign that they are dropping low(er) and asking for food.

Has he settled down after you fed him?

I think this should be fine. You can always add a little honey/karo if you find that 19% is not enough.

Yes, he has settled, gave himself a “normal” grooming while curled up next to me. I will test in a few minutes. He’s so relaxed he almost looks drugged… poor baby, I should have woken up!. I walk the line of trying to ignore him the hour before pre test and trying to catch lows. The hour before feed and shoot can seem very long with my Herman! That said. He didn’t finish his midnight snack, if he was just purely hungry this morning he would have eaten it. He obviously was just trying to wake me for a poke.

Yeah for shooting!
Is he always (as in daily) pulling his tail or occasionally? If the latter, I agree with Bhooma about it being a stress-tell.
I’ve been keeping a really close eye on it. I feel he over grooms the base of his tail fairly consistently (daily) now (for the past month or so) and who knows why (sometimes I wonder if it’s because he feels ‘weird” back there on days his neuropathy is worse but just a theory)….however the actual yanking tufts of hair out of his tail I believe is looking more of a stress response. I think he went green early this morning. He is currently in full on zombie mode now (sleepy and snuggly) vs his usual morning “let me out!” behaviour. The one time he was extremely aggressive in greens (not the case this morning) he also did a zombie flop after his BG rose.

Test him at +11 and feed so you know where he is before and without food. The no feed rule is more for people without experience at lower numbers.

I guess yet another bounce? From the blues? Maybe I missed a green in early morning before amps? Didn’t seem to be too fast a drop… Really hoping the bouncing alleviates. It begs the question, if I increase the dose will he just bounce more from even lower numbers or quicker drops? I kind of feel like I need to give this dose a couple more days and see where we end up after we clear current bounce? But not sure. His neuropathy is progressing :( so I really need to get him into lower numbers. Not sure what to do. Hoping for a quick bounce clear! C’mon herm!
