8/29 Oberon PMPS 61 (red.), +2 59, +4 56, +5.75 59

Up Oberon! Looks like you are working hard with him.

Yeah, we'll have to see how things are looking at shot time. I'm tempted to call this a reduction, even if he doesn't go below 40. But at least we got through whatever was causing the resistance (glucose toxicity, probably?).

If you have a hard time keeping him up in spite of carby snacks, that's also a sign he needs some sort of reduction. It wasn't that long ago he got to 73 on 6 units.

And we're probably about to slide back down to 5 U or so, if he follows his usual pattern. Another argument in favor of getting back to using R. If we could get through the resistance with R, we wouldn't be chasing the Levemir dose up and down as much. Time to check the status of the stuff in the fridge.

OK, dropped to 6.5 U. With the depot, tonight could still be interesting.

Two vials of R in the fridge... one nearly full, expired in Oct 2021. One nearly empty, expires Oct 2022. I think my best bet will be to just pick up a new vial to have on hand for the next round of resistance.

Will be interesting to see what's a good R scale this time. I expect doses would be a bit lower, as his L is lower, so worth starting lower for the experiment. I did like Levemir better for R, as if given at PS, it's mostly out of the way by the time the L onsets. Hopefully the R will let him see more green and get more comfy/less bouncy there.
