His current dose isn't doing it.
The other day someone mentioned that this current dose could be a "breakthrough" dose but you are saying it's not and that glucose toxicity might be an issue. Does glucose toxicity mean the dose is not effective? Is there not danger of pancreatic damage? Is an increase (1.0u?) the only way to go or are we still in the 0.5 increase range.
I've probably asked this before, so sorry if I have, but I've got so much to keep track of with the two of them, sometimes I'm losing the thread.

It wasn't me that said this dose was a breakthrough. ;) I define a good dose for an acro that means mostly under renal threshold. Nothing upper yellows or above, definitely no pinks and reds. Holding a dose that isn't a good dose too long means their body gets used to it. Glucose toxicity. You are in 1.0 unit increase range, unless are just fine tweaking a dose that is mostly good. He's not at a mostly good dose. Same guidelines, regardless of cat. Except at smaller doses the increases are smaller. Think of increase size as percent of overall dose.

Ok, thanks. Will adjust tomorrow.
