She was bright and alert today, maybe a bit more than in the past few days (or could just be my bias).
Had to poke her three times for the last PM reading, felt awful about it. Hopefully I get better and can switch to 31 lancets soon.

Thank you! It’s a bit harrowing I have to say, so much poking and worrying about hurting her, hypos, DKA etc.
Just have to get through the first few weeks, everyone says it gets easier afterwards…

Chewie is still learning, too. Once she stars to feel better and associates the tests with attention/treats she will likely cooperate more easily and make your side easier. Keep it up!

It does get easier. And just like with all of the other medical issues you’ve dealt with in your crew, it will become more familiar and “standard operating procedure” over time. I’m certain you won’t regret being proactive in dealing with this new, foreign world of feline diabetes.

That is very true - every serious health issue was so scary at first, but cats and humans figured it out every time so far Thank you for that reminder!
