a bit grumpy this morning….and I think I know why. Hair ball? Threw up right after eating….hoping he will eat more…
Edited to see he didn’t actually throw up, just sounded like he did. He does get hair balls and sometimes he makes these retching noises and nothing comes up. I guess this is why he is grumpy. Wondering if I can give him butter?

Leaving him alone until +2 hopefully he gets rid of hairball and cooperates for ear prick and eats another snack. Left out bits of food. He doesn’t even want me petting him. Otherwise he seems ok, he has energy , appetite, etc. used litter box this morning (chose to pee in wood pellet bedding and had pooped in other box)

Seems happier at +2….after last weeks crazy heat last night was almost “cool”. Herman likes sitting in open window sills…making for chilly ears! Which definitely makes more more difficult ear pricks! What a difference. Will warm up ears carefully before all pricks.
 
As we settle into a more consistent rhythm I am trying to test less and regain some life and give Herman a break! Herman just seemed to be quite volatile with what were (for me as I had very little data to refer back on and was new to testing) quick scary drops for a week or so following July 19. I became test obsessed and so afraid of hypo! I think I can wait till pmps today given current numbers. If he acts weird I may change my tune. :cat:
 
Ok well I was going to try to resist a test….but thought it was weird he didn’t come in for a snack. Found him under his bunny hunting tree…..and have a 68! :D:D:D:D

I gave 1/2 tsp of 15%…. Probably too high carb? But he was hungry and my medium carbs are brands he is not used to and I’m worried about food allergies lately (re itchy tail)

Nice catch! I believe that 15% is right on the cusp of MC/HC. I probably would have done the same since MC is unknown to kitty.

9.25 is 81 fed lc will test in 15? Or wondering if I wait half an hour….he’s a bit grumpy after last nights and this mornings cold ear poke fest …hmmmm other than itchies and being mad that I won’t feed him more or let him out he’s normal

81 on human meter correct? That's a great :D and safe. @tiffmaxee Elise, do you suggest testing that soon or wait an hour?
