Good morning and good day to everyone.

The boy's AMBG was 84. He has taken to ignoring the +9 snack in the automatic feeder, so I'm going to have to set an alarm. The +9 snack is replaced by an empty section at about +10 to begin his fast. Does anyone have any ideas about using an automatic feeder to make it more attractive? It is clean, well-rinsed, placed in a neutral area that they will otherwise eat in. No trauma with it that I can see.

The daytime +9 is always well-received.

Hope everyone has a good day with happy weather!

super happy for you and Benny. In just 5 months to boot, that is a pretty quick turnaround to regulation and beyond!

The combination of Lantus/glargine, TR, this group AND a dedicated, fully invested, ALL IN caregiver has now produced 19 OTJ trials YTD 2022, by my count.

That is a pretty great track record.

Wow, 19 OTJ trials just YTD, that is remarkable! When I told my vet I was hoping to get my cat in remission back in March, she literally said to me, "Remission is sometimes possible, but it's rare, so don't let that be your goal, or you will be disappointed." At times, I have lost hope that it was going to happen, but it was always my goal.

Thank you, @Karen and Chispa and @tiffmaxee !

@Rainbow Conti , LOVE that! "One more than three..."

He may have been a little stressed out.

This afternoon I have been cooking with meat, which is bad enough for him to smell without getting any, but also basil. He loves fresh herbs of any kind and became upset when I would not give him any, so I gave him a bit of basil at +11. Bad idea?

I also had the TV on very loud and was shouting at it; maybe that was stressful for him?

I would not worry too much at this point. It is only just a little into the blue - just barely. And basil (which I love to grow and make pesto with and other Italian dishes) should not have any carbs in it to speak of. Just sit tight and get those tests. I am still very optimistic!

Okay, thank you. Whew. I'll keep the lasagna.

With meter variance it’s green! Many cats have an occasional blue during a trial.

Thanks, Elise. I'll try to calm down. Truer words were never spoken when you told me I might get addicted to greens.

Get a test before bed to see if he drops back into green? When you get blue preshots in an OTJ trial, get a test 3 hours after to see if food brings down his numbers.
