It is my nemesis! I think I've finally taped up every last crack between our cabinets and the dishwasher (from the inside!!!) that Faraday can possibly get at the soundproofing material from but I'm sure he'll figure out a new way now.

It is literally the fabric that the dishwasher is wrapped in, and the door is also lined with it (the blue in this stock photo below). He started by grabbing up from under the door to peel it off the door, then once I'd taped that up (and thought that was it), he started going in through the neighboring cabinet which has a bottom gap to let the dishwasher hose through (taped that up next), *and* apparently along the whole top of the cabinet (which I finally taped up this weekend). I have no idea what it is about this stuff, but Faraday is super into it. Weirdo.

Benny is also a weirdo in this way. He can't reach the material around our dishwasher, but would eat it for sure, like he eats the fabric under the sofa (which is too low for him to actually get under, no idea how he gets it) and similar things. Faraday must be a soul brother.

Chai likes to eat cotton such as my clothes, towels, etc. Mocha chews on toys to get stuffing out. Their toys are now bottle caps and plastic ones. Insulation scares me. It could cause a blockage or worse. I lock my cats out of areas where they might munch and keep towels and Kleenex boxes out of reach.

Yeah, like I said, it's my nemesis. I *think* I finally have all routes to it blocked off. Fortunately he seems to vomit it up every time he eats it, and things seem normal in litterbox territory, so FX it stays that way!

Generally for toys we just use the little crinkly almost metallic pompoms - they're his fav.

Mine eat the sparkly ones. I bet they will eat the metallic ones too. I need to see if I have any in my toy stash.

I get mine the "mylar crinkle balls" - hopefully texturally different enough for your kitties not to assume they're for eating!
