? 7/30 Taz, AMPS-134, +3.25-75, +4-67, +4.25-62, +4.5-64, +4.75-68, +5-66 (Please Advise! )

When they surf like Taz was, do I need to test every 15 minutes or could I have done it every 30 minutes?

It takes 20-30 minutes for food to effect BG so 15 is too soon. Check every 30 unless there’s a drop to 50.

If 67 means reduction for him (AT2), at what number do you start mc or hc versus letting him surf?

Also, from now on I don't have to test every 15 minutes when he hits low?

77 and 76 are the same numbers. He's surfing, not dropping.

Nice on the reduction today. Maybe that means he'll bounce tomorrow and keep himself safe.

Why would you hold off insulin? Can you not monitor tonight? Since you've already fed, did he eat what you put out?

He did eat. I can monitor tonight but I'm worried because the high carb didn't seem to bring him up earlier today like I expected it to. Go ahead and give his reduced number?

I'm not giving him turmeric or fish oil tonight. But will gabapentin or bupe lower his numbers if I give either of them?

Bupe or gaba should not impact his numbers, except if he's been in pain and the pain relief helps him. When did he last get either of them?

It's been 20+ minutes since your last test. For peace of mind you could retest again, but it will be food influenced now. Glad to hear he ate.

He got gabapentin this morning. He hasn't had bupe for over a week but I went ahead and gave him a half dose.

I just tested him again. I gave medium carb about 25 minutes ago and he's still at 77. I gave him 2 units of insulin instead of 2.75.

Good to see him rising a bit now.
It's going to be a long night. He's already back down to 80 at his +2. I know these are good numbers but I'm scared something is wrong with him and that's why he's surfing these numbers so much. It's not normal for him.

Beautiful numbers. He is still flat from PMPS and in safe green. Let's see the +3. Did he get a little LC at +2?
