Mr. Benny was up and at 'em this morning and ate most of his breakfast without too much prompting. His AMPS was 104. I am trying not to read anything into the fact that he has been in the high green/low blue since the depot cleared out from the last dose. That shouldn't worry me, right?

I'm going to try putting on a Libre by myself today. Wish me luck!

I hope everyone is having a good day so far, including our friends whose day is already well under way. May everyone find a cool spot to enjoy the day with their babies.

Will he eat from an autofeeder? A snack at +9 is both cycles could help bring down the preshots. The logic is that for cats on a very low dose of insulin, the pancreas produce insulin in response to food which brings down the blood sugar.

He will definitely eat from the autofeeder, and I use it nightly. I already have it set for +9, because it gives him time to eat a little before his fasting starts at +10. (During the day I manually feed a little right before his fast starts.) I'm not sure he is really eating at that time of night, because there are often leftovers, and Squirrel may be snacking a little as well. I wonder if it is because it is LC food? Should I try a little MC in that compartment instead? Would programming the feeder for +9.5 help?

Even if you have to set an alarm for the PM +9 cycle to feed, it is worth it. Hopefully Benny is headed for the last stretch of this marathon. Fingers crossed!
