Hi all,

Previous thread here:

Apparently she needed attention last night, and with the numbers she threw out, she got it! :D

1 Unit.

Regards,

Patricia

Not sure if she's bouncing from last night, or what, numbers higher than usual today.

She also vomited her +8 meal (gave her half a cerenia after) and is currently not keen on eating. I gave her a new pate to try, and it definitely did not agree with her sensitive little stomach.

If she's still not eating at PMPS time I'm going to give her a reduced dose (thinking of 0.5 or 0.75) as I have offered her EVERYTHING in the house after the vomit episode and she is not interested in any of them.

She didn't eat PMPS gave her another half cerenia in case she managed to spit out the first one.

Ended up shooting 0.75 because I'm worried about how high her BG is.

Will carry on trying to get her to eat and test at +2.

Does she have any history of pancreatitis?

Not really, she had a proper crash when she was diagnosed last year but they didn't say it was pancreatitis.

EDIT, she was in a horrible state when I adopted her, and just got worse in the month after.

If she's still not good tm morning I'll take her to the vet. This came on quite suddenly this afternoon after I gave her a new pate to try and she vomited.

Hi Bhooma, it may well be that. I do have some Onsior, do you think I can give her some to help with pain in case it is that. She's not hunched, but definitely not happy.
Onsior is pretty tough on kidneys...but I imagine that is a judgement call as well if she is in a lot of pain.

I'd want Bhooma to weigh in on this one as well.

Whoop Whoop, she just ate her PMPS meal. It is only 15g raw chicken, but it is a start.

She asked for more but I'm giving her 30 mins to see if it stays down, vomited raw chicken is tough on carpets ;); but seriously I don't want to jinx it by giving her tummy too much to deal with!

OK so the 15g stayed down (so far, 45 mins and counting!) and she just ate another 10g.
