Does this sound like a UTI

Hi just got back from out of town and had someone come in to give Oscar his shots twice a day. I cleaned out his litter and he went back in to urinate normal amount. Then five minutes later back in again couple of drops. Then big pee on hubby’s slippers. Back in the litter pan 10 more times and then pee on the floor. Otherwise acting good. I have an appointment at the urgent care in 2 hours to have him checked out. Same place I will have his appointment with internal medicine in august. Sounds like UTI?

Very possibly a UTI, yes. Or he may have FLUTD. I am happy you will be getting him seen today. That’s just what you need to do. Just let us know how he does, okay?

Yes bacteria In urine. One Crystal found. Given amoxicillin liquid. They gave first dose and he acted better when we got home. Dr. Said it was probably stress related since his routine was changed and momma and daddy were gone. (Probably thought we abandoned him )

Thank you so much for letting us know how Oscar is doing! I’m very happy that you have gotten the antibiotics. After he is finished with the course of antibiotics, can you have him rechecked (his urine) to ensure that all bacteria is eradicated? You have an appointment for him later in August, right? When is that?
 
Yes urgent care said to have his regular vet check the urine this Friday, July 29 to make sure bacteria is gone. He has an appointment with the internal medicine specialist August 23.
 
Good. You'd be surprised how many vets just send them home with antibiotics and no instructions to recheck the urine after the antibiotics are complete. Good luck with the visit on the 23rd.
